Alabama

March 12, 2008 - After receiving information that the subject was making and selling CDRs at a local Laundromat, officers located the subject. They were able to identify all the merchandise and arrested the illegal laundry patron. Officials were able to seize a total of three burners and 2,350 urban CDRs.

Kentucky

March 13, 2008 - During a search warrant by the Lexington Police Department, officials uncovered a fraudulent document operation. The subjects were found making fake IDs (Identification), CDs (Compact Discs) and fake satellite TVs (Televisions.) 9 burners, 28 CDRs, 260 DVDs, 2 satellite TV cards and blank ID cards were all seized.

Michigan

March 2008 - Narcotics investigators are determined to get drugs off the streets. In doing so, they are helping get manufacturers and distributors of pirated CDs behind bars as well. Narcotics officials continued their efforts during an investigation in Detroit. The Detroit Police Department Narcotics Team , found more than drugs while executing a narcotics warrant. At the retail store, officials secured the location for drugs and weapons. Among confiscating 150 grams of marijuana, investigators also identified burners, hundreds of CDRs and DVDRs. At the burner lab, officials were able to seize 18 burners, 1,598 CDRs and 479 DVDRs.

New York

March 7, 2008 - Investigators with the New York Office assisted in executing a search warrant. Along with investigators from the Brooklyn DA's office, officials uncovered a burner lab. Along with one arrest, officials were able to stop the manufacturing location. During the search warrant, investigators helped seize a total of 30 burners, 600 pirated music CDRs, 100 music videos and 2,917 movies.

March 19, 2008 - Investigators with the New York Office assisted the NYPD Bronx District Attorney's Office in executing a search warrant. Officials discovered a manufacturing/distribution location and were able to bust a large burner lab. Investigators helped seize a total of 50 burners, 8,800 Latin CDRs and 1,930 Latin music DVDRs.

March 21, 2008 - While executing a search warrant at a business labeled as an income tax store, officials uncovered a large manufacturing operation. Inside the business, investigators were able to seize 89 burners, 1,500 pirate CDRs, 9,705 DVDRs and 3 boxes of raw material. After the seizure, officials with the NYPD 70th Pct. executed another search warrant at a business. Investigators with the New York Office assisted the NYPD for yet another large bust. During their search, investigators were able to help uncover and seize 14,400 pirated music CDRs, 3,900 pirated music DVDRs, 304 counterfeit music CDRs and 10,205 counterfeit movie DVDRs. Two subjects were later arrested and charged.

North Carolina

March 23, 2008 - Officials with the Gaston County Police busted a party DJ after responding to a complaint of loud music at approximately 3:00am. After arriving at the party, they uncovered a local DJ who was responsible for the noise. Officials quickly interviewed the subject who openly admitted to making his own pirated recordings. The information was enough for authorities to obtain a search warrant. Upon entering the residence, officers discovered more than just a burner lab. Along with 13 burners, 1,183 pirated CDRs and 1,347 DVDs, officials also found a 9mm pistol, an AK- 47 assault riffle and a 12 gauge shotgun.
