On Thursday, September 30, 2004, the New York Police Department’s Bronx Task Force, assisted by the RIAA, executed a search warrant at 905 Tinton Avenue in the Bronx. The location was a residential apartment complex, where an individual was manufacturing/distributing illicit Latin music CD-Rs and movies on DVD-R. The police action resulted in one arrest and the seizure of 400 Latin music counterfeit/pirated CD-Rs and 800 counterfeit movies on DVD-R. The music seized was 100% of the Latin genre.

NYPD’s Search and Seizures, September 20, 2004. NYPD executed 3 search warrants, one in the Bronx and two in Manhattan, for manufacturing unauthorized sound recordings; seized were 6 towers containing 50 burners, 500 pieces of finished product, miscellaneous raw material; and 12,600 counterfeit CDs; genre 60% Urban and 40% Rock; 3 arrests were effected.
